I watched my rescue puppy panic, twist and pull against the leash the first time I attached it to her harness today. She thrashed about and almost choked herself from her resistance. How can I tell her she needs it to keep her safe from herself? I just want her to know I’m doing it in love and for her own good. My puppy taught me a lesson today. I got to stop resisting, panicking, and thrashing around. I need that leash, God. Don’t let me go.
